Accounts Receivable Accountant

Within Tom&Co, we are looking for dynamic colleagues who want to strengthen our teams in administrative and financial matters by ensuring everything is in perfect order in our various systems and assisting colleagues with all their queries regarding these matters. As an Accounts Receivable Accountant, you will be responsible for a portfolio of clients (stores), ensuring the accurate processing of sales invoices, debtor management, and actively following up on payments. Responsibilities

• Address customer and colleague queries regarding invoicing

• Manage the AR mailbox

• Serve as the primary point of contact for our customers

• Ensure timely processing of all accounting documents

• Prepare various financial reports

• Record complaints

• Perform monthly AR closing

• Prepare and issue outgoing invoices for customers and suppliers

• Reconcile revenue accounts and take corrective actions

• Ensure our Masterdata for customers is complete and accurate

• Actively participate in ad hoc projects

• Provide backup support for colleagues within the Finance Team

• Analyze open receivables and monitor their status

• Collaborate closely with Treasury in the context of factoring (management of incoming payments)

• Collaborate actively with the General Ledger Accountant during the closing process

• Report to and work closely with our Head of Accounting

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent through experience

• Proficiency in SAP

• Thorough knowledge of Excel

• Results-oriented: organize work according to deadlines and agreed-upon processes

• Ability to maintain an overview when working with large volumes of figures

• Detail-oriented.

• Service‑minded and diplomatic toward both clients and colleagues

• Team‑oriented mindset

• Effective priority management

• Proficiency in both Dutch and French (spoken and written)

• Experience in a similar role is a plus
