Assistant Category Buyer

As an Assistant Category Buyer, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Tom&Co's buyers both administratively and commercially, serving as the primary contact person for internal departments and suppliers. Responsibilities
- Manage product information (basic data) for a specific category of products from requesting data from suppliers to processing information on prices and promotions, ensuring accuracy for our stores, including our online shop. Attention to detail is essential.
- Monitor commercial agreements with suppliers, ensuring alignment with negotiated contracts and processing data in our systems.
- Provide information to our stores and other departments (logistics, concept and merchandising, e-commerce, finance).
- Prepare briefing notes for our stores regarding products (new products, product changes, product promotions), and ensure all necessary information is readily available for colleagues.
- Handle customer and colleague inquiries efficiently and with a customer-centric approach.
What we are looking for
- Proficient in various software packages such as Microsoft Office, with advanced skills in Excel including formulas and pivot tables, and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Customer-oriented with a strong commercial mindset.
- Fluent in Dutch or French, and English, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently, organize tasks, and prioritize under the guidance of your manager.
- Eager to learn, proactive in taking initiatives, and adept at problem-solving.
- Comfortable multitasking in a dynamic environment.
- Collaborative and team-oriented with excellent communication skills.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in an administrative or commercial role.
