Assistant Category Buyer e-Commerce
Tom&Co is looking for a dynamic colleague for our offices in Groot-Bijgaarden, who can smoothly combine administrative tasks with commercial challenges. You will actively contribute to our promotional plan for the online platform and support the Category Lead e-commerce at Tom&Co, to whom you will directly report. RESPONSIBILITIES
You will be responsible for implementing the commercial plan correctly and ensuring the online visibility of our ongoing promotions. It’s crucial that you pay attention to detail and accuracy in all information. Your tasks include:
• Implementing the commercial plan (promotions, etc.) on our T&C webshops.
• Correctly implementing commercial agreements with suppliers on the website.
• Maximizing the visibility of ongoing commercial actions.
• Monitoring and analyzing sales results with suppliers.
• Highlighting our own brands on the webshops.
• Assisting in the successful launch of new brands or products.
• Quickly and customer-focused handling customer and colleague inquiries.
• You will primarily interact with the Category Lead T&C, product content, marketing, and logistics teams.
You provide commercial support to the Category Lead e-commerce in market research and product development, which includes:
• Tracking market trends and industry developments.
• Monitoring sales results and actively thinking about new products and categories.
• Supporting product selection within a specific category.
• Preparing promotions in collaboration with the marketing department.
WHAT PROFILE ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
• Administrative all-rounder with experience in various software packages (Microsoft Office, Excel formulas and pivot tables, ERP systems).
• Affinity with e-commerce and insight into the specific challenges and opportunities within this sector.
• Customer-oriented and commercially driven.
• Fluent in Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.
• Attention to detail and a structured working method.
• Able to work independently, with the ability to prioritize in consultation with the manager.
• Eager to learn, proactive, and solution-oriented.
• Comfortable in a dynamic environment, with the ability to multitask.
• Helpful and a team player.
• Excellent communicator and point of contact for questions.
• At least 3 years of experience in an administrative commercial role, preferably in e-commerce or retail. This may also include recent graduates or someone with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
