Financial Analyst
At Tom&Co, we are looking for dynamic colleagues to join our teams in the administrative and financial areas. You will ensure that everything is correctly processed in our systems and support colleagues with their questions regarding financial and administrative processes.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including data collection, organizing and structuring information, analyzing historical results, making forecasts and projections, and formulating recommendations based on your technical expertise (Excel/BI…). You will prepare financial reports and presentations and provide support to the company's operational objectives.
Additionally, you will manage a client portfolio (stores) and be responsible for the proper handling of the invoicing process. You will conduct effective debtor management to handle outstanding payments and limit the company’s credit risk. By achieving these goals, you will help ensure the company’s financial health as a Financial Analyst.
Your Responsibilities
Manage mailboxes and act as the first point of contact for customers.
Analyze and follow up on customer and colleague inquiries regarding invoicing and anomalies.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of all accounting documents.
Prepare and analyze manual outgoing invoices.
Create various financial reports.
Perform the monthly AR closing process from start to finish.
Actively follow up on receivables and payments.
Proactively identify potential issues with clients and intervene early to prevent further outstanding receivables.
Check if clients are adhering to their payment arrangements and take appropriate actions if necessary, such as sending reminders or collection letters.
Reconcile revenue accounts and make corrections where necessary.
Ensure full and accurate client administration.
Actively participate in ad-hoc projects and improvement processes.
Provide support to colleagues within the financial team.
Perform administrative tasks related to core responsibilities, including analyses and testing for process optimization.
Your Profile
Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
Results-driven and able to organize work according to deadlines and procedures.
Diplomatic yet assertive in dealing with customers and suppliers.
Analytical and able to interpret numbers correctly.
Accurate and detail-oriented in processing data and performing calculations.
Resilient under pressure and decisive.
Financial and technical skills: knowledge of SAP, Excel, BI, and accounting processes.
Flexible and solution-oriented.
Fluent in Dutch and French, both written and spoken.
Experience in a similar role is a plus.
