Food & Non-Food Technologist
As a technologist in food and non-food products at Tom&co, you play a key role in quality assurance and product development. You will be responsible for creating and managing the specifications and technical sheets for Tom&co brand products. You will work closely with the packaging manager to provide all necessary information for product labeling and packaging. Your role also includes organizing comparative product tests, supporting the quality manager, and proposing improvements for product quality. Additionally, you will be responsible for following up on quality complaints from stores and customers.
Responsibilities
- Creation and management of specifications and technical sheets for Tom&co products.
- Providing necessary information for labeling and packaging to the packaging manager.
- Organizing comparative product tests.
- Supporting the quality manager.
- Proposing improvements for product quality.
- Following up on quality complaints from stores and customers.
Desired Profile
- Solid knowledge of European legislation (animal feed, REACH, labeling, biocides, zoonoses) and quality systems (HACCP).
- Expertise in pet food and non-food products, as well as animal welfare.
- Understanding of product life cycles and the retail sector, with an interest in sustainability.
- Proficiency in the Office suite.
- Dutch speaker with a good knowledge of French; German is a plus.
- More than 5 years of experience in a similar role, with skills in communication, organization, and inter-departmental collaboration.
