ROLE DESCRIPTION
As a Master Data Product Steward, you will play a pivotal role in managing and improving our product data. Combining the responsibilities of a Data Steward and a Data Quality Specialist, you will ensure the accuracy, consistency, and integrity of our product data. Working closely with the Category Management team, you will bridge the gap between data management and business needs, contributing to the success of Tom&Co’s operations. Responsabilities amongs other include:
Data Management
• Enter, update, and maintain product data in the Master Data systems.
• Ensure data is correctly categorized, coded, and aligned with governance policies.
• Collaborate with Category Management (product managers, buyers, and assistants) to meet operational needs.
Data Quality Assurance
• Monitor and evaluate product data quality, identifying and addressing inconsistencies or errors.
• Implement and execute data quality improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain data validation processes and tools.
Governance and Compliance
• Adhere to and promote data governance policies and standards as defined by the Product Data Owner and Data Architect.
• Document processes and ensure compliance with organizational and regulatory requirements.
Collaboration and Support
• Act as the primary point of contact for product data issues, ensuring timely resolution of complex cases.
• Support the Master Data Teamlead in achieving strategic goals for data management.
• Provide insights and recommendations to improve overall data processes and systems.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Data Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 2-3 years of experience in data management, data quality, or a similar role. Experience in retail is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and a passion for data accuracy.
• Hands-on experience with Master Data Management (MDM) systems.
• Familiarity with data governance frameworks and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and levels.
• Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
• Proactive and results-oriented.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Eager to learn and adapt to new systems and processes.
